Langston Gardner’s paintings are a vibrant daily journal of his thoughts. He writes waves of repetitive words that overlap and fade like echoes. He thinks of TV shows and radios. He thinks about computers, cows and cartoons. There are fictional characters scrawled alongside the names of girls he remembers. He writes about legs. Why he writes this with so much fervor is uncertain, but the word represents the motion and movement in his work and the steadfast approach that he takes day after day. Computer Cow Cow Television is a collection of word art paintings that Langston has produced over the past year.

Langston’s work has been exhibited in many galleries in the Western New York region, including last year’s Black and White exhibition at Big Orbit Gallery. He has worked with photographer Brendan Bannon and was featured in the Buffalo News for his two man exhibition with artist Kyle Butler in 2015.

It must be noted that the under paintings beneath Langston’s words is the work of fellow Autism Services artist Erich Haneberg.

This exhibition is free and open to the public.
