DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AWARENESS DAY
30th Annual DD Day to be held May 24, 2018
For the past 30 years, Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day has evolved into the biggest conference for developmental disabilities. Featuring keynote speakers, entertainment, art, vendors, awards and much more, the Western New York community has worked together to present a comprehensive, informative conference about developmental disabilities.
This year, Autism Services, Inc. is proud to announce that Debra Kroetsch will be presenting a workshop called Taming Autism. As an adult with Asperger’s, Deb is keenly aware of how the environment affects her. Sensory overload and shutdown causes her real psychological pain; feeling like going into emotional shock, followed by grieving. She has presented on these topics at our Hamburg Resource Center and we are excited she will be sharing her knowledge and experience at this year’s DD Day. Learn more about Deb on her website. More details will be posted once available.
DD Day is held at the Conference and Event Center of Niagara Falls. Specific event information can be found here.
