Creating meaningful opportunities that enrich the lives of people with autism, their families and their communities.

RESPITE

RESPITE

Respite is a service provided to the person with autism, and family members, to provide additional support for daily care giving.

  • Waiver Respite: Part of the ISP and is based in the person’s home, and/or community.
  • In-Home Respite: Derived from DDSO Family Support funding, with a standard of 10 hours per month given to families.
  • Family Reimbursement: The family acquires funds directly from the DDSO to pay for “babysitting” services by a family member/personal source. This is family-directed and has no agency involvement.
